During his years of education, Mr. Chandubhai Patel developed a strong sense of social responsibility and realized the need to support underprivileged sections of society who were deprived of basic development opportunities. He observed that women, youth, senior citizens, transgender individuals, unorganized workers, farmers, widows, and agricultural laborers in both rural and urban areas often lacked access to education, livelihood opportunities, and social support. This realization inspired him to work towards creating a positive and lasting impact in their lives.

With the vision of uplifting these marginalized communities and contributing to their overall social and economic development, Chuwal Gram Vikas Trust Ahmedabad was established on 16th November 1990 under the Public Charitable Trust Act. The trust was founded with the objective of empowering vulnerable groups, promoting self-reliance, and implementing developmental initiatives that improve quality of life through education, awareness, livelihood support, and social welfare programs.
